VOCAL Survey

Annually students in grade 4, 5, 8, 10 participate in climate surveys that assess the environment, engagement, safety and overall school climate.

SEL Skills and Standards

Massachusetts State Standards in PK-K for SEL and APL have been brought to APS and are being aligned with the elementary report card in the future.  APS teachers in grades 1-3 participated in a state pilot to look at new resources aligned with these standards.  DESE and APS will explore skills in the 2020-2021 school year.

Whole Student Outcomes

Student outcomes take many forms at APS.  Discipline data, student connectedness, YRBS data and school counseling data reports tell us how students experience school and life.  We strive to improve the student experience and support the WHOLE child by improving these outcomes with comprehensive SEL approaches.
